The Devil's Offering

The Devil's Offering is a hobby board game that I am developing on the side as a passion project! 

It's a resource management and bluffing strategy game themed around Dante's Inferno where players have fallen into the depths of Hell and meet the Devil himself. Of course, the Devil loves temptation, so he offers the players one chance to survive, providing each player a set of resource cards. Each turn, players enter a Circle of Hell together and make an offering to the Devil. The player who makes the highest value offering becomes the Blessed for that round and earns a benefit based on the current Circle. Consequently, the player who makes the lowest value offering becomes the Damned and must pay a cost. Also, players may choose to not only wager their resource cards, but also their soul card (which trumps all normal resource cards, no matter the amount). However, if two or more players offer their soul in a round, the player who offered their soul with the lowest offering immediately loses their soul to the Devil (and is cast into the Flames of Hell, losing the game).

The players will continue to make offerings to the Devil until two players are left, and then their final resources are compared along with any modifier cards they earned along the way. Whoever can make the highest value offering to the Devil earns their freedom, while the other player is sent into the Flames of Hell alongside all the other players where they will burn for all of eternity.
