Robot in 3 Days

The Robot in 3 Days initiative is hosted annually by FIRST Robotics and run by partner clubs and institutions worldwide, where mentors, industry professionals and experienced builders work together with high school students to build a robot based upon the announcement of the FIRST Robotics Global Challenge. During the event, the team completely engineers and builds the robot from scratch over a single weekend to visualize and provide a first impression to competing schools and organizations all over the world what might be possible to build, hopefully inspiring them for their robot that they will be given six weeks to design, prototype and build themselves before regional and global competitions against other teams. These initial ideas developed become a major baseline and blueprint for what many teams are able to accomplish, especially those who are first timers or those that may not have the same resources as larger, established teams.

As one of the organizers and mentors for the event in Calgary, Alberta, Canada under TESLA Robotics, I helped coordinate and run the logistics behind the scenes, including procuring necessary materials, conceptualizing the design, and managing the budget and registrations of our participants.
